Cikuray Mountain
Cikuray mountain
located in Garut, West Java, Indonesia. Mount Cikuray height 2,818 meters above
sea level (asl) and is the fourth highest mountain in West Java after three
other mountain is Mount FAY (3078 masl), MH (3019 masl), and Mount (2958 meters
above sea level). Cikuray mountain located exactly in the middle of Garut in
West Java which is surrounded by 5 districts namely Cilawu, Cigedug, database,
Banjarwangi, and Bayongbong.There are three common ascent path traversed: Bayongbong,
Cikajang, and Cilawu. With the starting point of the nearest climbing steep
peaks but is from the District Cikajang, while lane farthest from the District
Bayongbong. Hiking trail from the District Cikajang and more Boyongbong less
traveled to climb, it is possible that both lines are closed plants, but still
can be passed with more supplies and tools slash. Hiking trail through the
village of the District Cilawu Dayeuhmanggung more commonly used, so it is more
clear and focused. In the subsequent discussion will only be elaborated through
District Cilawu path.

Post 1 can be achieved from the TV transmitter station takes
about 60 minutes. Then add about 60 minutes longer to get to the Post 2. Post
Time: 2 to Post 3 is 2 hours longer than the travel time from Post 1 to Post 2.
Due to the steep terrain, the contours of the meeting, Post 1, Post 2, and Post
3 is only able to accommodate one to two tents. While in Post 4 there is a
wider which can accommodate up to three tents.

5 takes about 50 minutes with a steeper slope as Post yan 3 to the Post 4 which
then can proceed to Post Peak Shadows that have a broader area of the five
previous post and the more flat state without the presence of shrubs.
Trip after Post Peak Shadows can be done to the Post 6 which
covers almost the same as the peak post shadows that can accommodate about 3 to
4 tents. From this Post 6 tall trees already not too tight but still can block
the wind blow directly and already very close to the summit of Mount Cikuray.
Post 6 This may be the most relaxing place to wait for the moment the sun rise
or set. Just stay climb to the top is less than 20 minutes to bring supplies to
taste, and then back again to Post 6 about 10 minutes
